Artists biography
Dan Harper was an aid worker in Ethiopia where he built a studio in the outbuildings of his house. After composing in his spare time from aid working he invited many Ethiopians he had met in to jam with him. The resulting albums scored international critical acclaim from The New York Times to Uncut and Mojo and a best newcomer nomination in the Songlines World Music Awards. Styles were created that had never been heard before drawing on Ethiopia, Psychedelia, Post Punk, Rock, Dance, Dub, Reggae, Electronics and Traditional. Many known artists became involved.
