The Work
From 'WeddingfromHell to Art is Ann' is a video summation of Ann and Ken's various adventures in the wonderland of arts, from their wedding from hell in 2000 to the present day artistic endeavors. Featuring musicians, artists, circus acts, burlesque performers and visual artists, it highlights how Ann and Ken have created and commissioned art from people from all backgrounds irrespective of musical preferences, lifestyles and dress codes, reflecting the new modern contemporary Belfast.
(note: "irrespective of musical preferences" is likely to exclude fans of Abba, Oasis or the Lighthouse Family)
Artists Biographies
In 2001 Ann and Ken established Belfast Unbound, a club that featured the best in electronic music, circus and burlesque. They helped set up the J2Z Music Festival, with Lyndon Stephens, which ran very successfully for several years, bringing over such luminaries as Roy Ayres, Jazzanova and Henrik Schwartz.
They then teamed up with House of Lies to found the Penguin People Promotions company, before reverting to Belfast UnBound again to bring the best in burlesque..
Since then Ann + Ken have promoted various shows, from Shane MacGowan to the Monochrome Set for a wide range of venues, festivals and audiences.
